Mieczysław Naruszewicz
B. 1923 in Warsaw, d. in 2006 in Warsaw.
In the years 1947- 1949 he studied at the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (studio of X. Dunikowski), then in the years 1949-1951 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (diploma in 1953). In the years 1956-61, he was a designer at the Ceramics and Glass Plant in Warsaw. Together with H. Jędrasiak, H. Orthwein and L. Tomaszewski, he prepared chamber sculpture models for Polish porcelain factories. He designed about 44 designs, including: "lying cat", "magpie", "Corrida bull," "Boar".
In the 1960s he worked as a designer in the IWP Transport Design Department, preparing with his team the Star 200 van body designs (co-author J. Pawłowski, A. Kasten, St. Soszyński), locomotives and passenger coaches and trams. None of the projects went beyond the study phase. In the years 1978-1983 he managed the Design Studio in the Union of Mechanized Household Equipment "Predom"
His artistic achievements also include realized monumental sculpture projects, including monument to the 1000th anniversary of Polish Jazz in Warsaw (Polish roundabout Ride, unveiling 1994).
