AS Ćmielów Porcelany Manufactory supports many important historical, artistic and social initiatives. The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the WWF Poland Foundation gave life to a unique project. A limited edition of figurines depicting a lynx was created - in honour of one of the most mysterious and endangered inhabitants of Polish forests.
The porcelain figurine was created according to an original design by Hanna Orthwein createdin 1960) and its unique ‘Hidden’ decoration, inspired by the natural behaviour of the lynx hiding in the grass, was designed by Anna Zwolińska from WWF Poland Foundation. Each product is provided with a dedicated certificate of authenticity.
The lynx is Europe's largest cat, which was still on the brink of extinction in the 20th century. Protecting this animal is a true art, consisting of many demanding tasks, such as providing the animal with adequate living space in an increasingly urbanised world, rebuilding a stable population with consideration for genetic diversity and actively working to protect individuals living in the wild.
To mark WWF Poland Foundation’s anniversary, a limited series of 250 porcelain pieces has been created. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the conservation of endangered species, supporting the WWF Foundation's work for harmony between man and nature. When you buy a lynx figurine, you become part of the art of protecting nature!
