The AS Ćmielów Porcelain Manufactory actively supports key historical, artistic and social initiatives. The celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the WWF Poland Foundation gave rise to a unique project. A limited series of figurines depicting a lynx was created – in honour of one of the most mysterious and endangered inhabitants of Polish forests.

‘Hidden’ – a unique decoration on the figurine

The porcelain figurine was created according to the original design by Hanna Orthwein (1960 model), and its unique ‘Hidden’ decoration, inspired by the natural behaviour of a lynx hiding in the grass, was designed by Anna Zwolińska from the WWF Poland Foundation. Each product comes with a special certificate of authenticity.

The lynx – guardian of wild nature

The lynx is the largest European cat, which was on the verge of extinction in the 20th century. Protecting this predator is a real art, involving many challenging tasks, such as ensuring adequate living space for the animals in an increasingly urbanised world, rebuilding a stable population with genetic diversity in mind, and actively working to protect individuals living in the wild.

Handmade production and decoration of each figurine

Each porcelain figurine is handmade from the highest quality porcelain and hand-painted, then numbered and marked with the logos of the AS Ćmielów manufactory and the WWF Foundation.

All data will be entered into a certificate of authenticity.
